Master data management is a technology-enabled discipline in which business and information technology work together to ensure the uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency and accountability of the enterprise's official shared master data assets. The four most common master data management implementation styles and architectures followed by companies are: 1) Registry style, 2) Consolidation style, 3) Coexistence style and 4) Transaction/Centralized style. I have conducted 7 client engagements involving establishing an MDM program.
