Privacy

The short version

• No cookies. This site doesn't set any, and nothing on it follows you across other sites.
• Anonymous visit statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics.
• The contact form collects your name, email address and message, and I use them only to reply.
• Nothing is sold, shared for marketing, or used for advertising.

Visit statistics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. Cloudflare says it uses no cookies or other browser storage to do this, and doesn't fingerprint visitors by IP address or browser details. What I see is aggregate: which pages were viewed, where visitors came from, and broad details such as browser, device type and country — never who you are.

The script loads after the page has finished loading. If you block it, the site works exactly the same.

The contact form

When you send a message, the form collects your name, email address and message. It's stored by Netlify, which hosts this site, and a copy is emailed to me through Postmark, an email delivery service. I use it only to read and answer your message.

I keep messages only as long as they're useful to the conversation. If you'd like yours deleted, ask through the contact page or in a reply, and I'll delete it.

Your theme choice

If you switch to the light theme, your browser remembers the choice in its local storage, under the key "theme". It never leaves your device, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

Hosting and server logs

Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers process technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against abuse. I don't use that data to identify visitors.

Other services

Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so pages don't call out to font or image services. The only third-party request is Cloudflare's analytics script. Once you follow a link to another site — LinkedIn, GitHub, X, or a source cited in a post — that site's own privacy policy applies.

Changes and questions

If any of this changes — a new form, a different analytics service — I'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions are welcome through the contact page.
